Glitchforge: Datamosh Studio
Datamosh in the raw bitstream. Edits H.264, MPEG-2, and MPEG-4 streams at the codec level — motion vectors, coefficients, quantizers. iOS, on-device.
The engine
H.264 · MPEG-2 · MPEG-4 · HEVCDrop a video in, stack effects in any order, animate them across a region of the frame or a window of time, render.
Edits compressed video at the codec level — motion vectors, transform coefficients, and quantizers inside H.264, MPEG-2, and MPEG-4 streams.
The rack UI lets you drag, reorder, bypass, and solo stages before render.
Glitchforge is a native bitstream corruption engine for video. It runs as an iOS app, and soon as an open source desktop app. Datamosh in the raw bitstream.
It edits compressed video at the codec level, manipulating motion vectors, transform coefficients, and quantizers directly inside H.264, MPEG-2, and MPEG-4 streams. Effects include datamoshing (where motion detaches from imagery), scrambled coefficients, warped blocks, posterization, VHS and analog decay, bloom, ghosting, channel desync, and pixel sorting.

Any effect can be aimed at a region of the frame or a window of time, and animated across the clip. The rack UI lets you drag, reorder, bypass, and solo stages before rendering.
Everything runs on the device. No account, no subscription, no ads, no network. The renderer is deterministic — the same input plus the same rack produces the same bytes.
The open source release (shipping soon) is the same app for desktop. Download it from GitHub or from the site and run it.
